Summary

It's Yui Hirasawa's first year in high school, and she's eagerly searching for a club to join. At the same time, Ritsu Tainaka, a drummer, and her friend Mio Akiyama, a bass player, are desperately trying to save the school's light music club, which is about to be disbanded due to lack of members. They manage to recruit Tsumugi Kotobuki to play the keyboard, meaning they only need one more member to get the club running again. Yui joins, thinking it will be an easy experience for her to play the castanets, the only instrument she knows. However, the other members think their new addition is actually a guitar prodigy...

K-on is now the top selling anime under KYOTO ANIMATION. And yes, it won against THE MELANCHOLY OF HARUHI SUZUMIYA. :D

There are some news about this anime having a live action. I just don't know if it's true.



But personally, I think the ones in the pic are just cosplayers :)

This anime is really good when you want to take a break from too much romance/action related animes.

And if they are going to make a live action, I hope it would be as good as the anime.

I like K-on a lot. Riz' right, it is inspiring. The OST's are nice too :)

But the fact that it defeated TMOHS just won't sink in. UGH ~.~

true to that. TMOHS is still better than K-ON in my opinion.

though i liked K-On . xD i like mio the best lol.

typical moe-blob anime. very light plot, not that awesome but it's a good anime, overrated anime.

those are what some people said but I think it's a typically good anime. though I haven't watched it yet.
